Tlaloc was the legendary Aztec god of rain, thunder, and lightning. Known as "The Provider," it was by his blessing the seasonal rains arrived on time. He was also a wrathful deity - responsible for hail, floods and drought. Individuals who displeased him could be struck down by lightning. This very impressive Tlaloc Petroglyph is in West-Central New Mexico.
